Riverpath Counseling Colorado was created to be a different kind of therapy practice. One in which our clients feel like we’re extended family who genuinely care about their well-being and happiness. We’re dedicated to the importance of this relationship and honor it by giving each and every client the attention that they need. Recently, this was acknowledged by being vote in the Top 5 Family Therapists in Colorado Parent Magazine.
We often hear from our clients that they feel like we just “get it.” They feel understood, cared for and supported. We understand that it can be a challenge to open yourself up to another person without knowing how they might respond. We understand the importance of family and the family unit in a person’s life, for better or worse. We understand that some days are better than others; even when things look good, they might not always be good. We understand all of this and we want you to understand that we’re here for our clients. We don’t judge — we listen, we advise, we help people make meaningful changes.
Our mission is to pair excellent quality counseling with warmth, comfort, and respect to guide our clients along their path. We want them to do this knowing that they have our full support as a trusted partner. The benefit of us being a husband and wife team is that we are able to support whole families in-house. We can help families back to a place of wholeness. We have been very lucky to be part of the lives of many clients and families; we hope that we can be a part of yours, too. We are thrilled to be collaborating with Natural Balance, and look forward to helping clients find well-being of both mind and body through great collaborative care.
As far back as I can remember, I’ve wanted to help people live the life they really wanted, not just the one they felt they were given; I’m very fortunate to be able to do that for so many individuals, couples and families through Riverpath. We all face our own struggles, conflicts, doubts and fears and I want to help you through those, human to human. As a therapist, I see my role as your support and guide on the journey and an alternative perspective to what you normally see. Together, we’ll identify what you want to be different and then we will walk that road together.” Alex Michaud is a licensed mental health professional and co-owner of Riverpath Counseling Colorado with his wife, Melissa.
